Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis (PLAN-tur fas-e-I-tis) is one of the most common causes of heel and arch pain. It involves inflammation of a thick band of tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes (plantar fascia).

Plantar fasciitis usually creates a stabbing pain that can occur with your first steps in the morning. As you get up and move, the pain normally decreases, but it might return after long periods of standing or when you stand up after sitting.

There are many things that can cause planter fasciitis.

Usually having to do with situations creating friction on the bottom of your foot that is the cause of the inflammation.

This can be caused by anything from running, walking on concrete floors, worn out shoes and/or socks, overweight, weak ankles, as well as causing and from bad posture, etc.
